Weekly storytimes are on a break from now until June 25th. At that point, we will resume weekly storytimes for ages 0-6, as well as our summer Storytime in the Park session for all ages. Our summer storytimes will run from Thursday 6/25 until Tuesday 8/4 to coincide with our Summer Reading Challenge. Below is a description of the different storytime sessions we offer for various age groups. Click on the calendar link above to find the next scheduled Storytime!
- Preschool Storytime - for ages 3+
A 45 minute school-readiness class with a weekly theme. Some activities include reading picture books, making crafts or playing simple games. These activities are designed to teach children listening comprehension skills, letter and shape recognition, new vocabulary words, as well as improve gross and fine motor skills and introduce helpful social skills.
Mondays at 10:30 AM from June 29 - August 3 (a drop-in event - no registration required)
- 2 & You - for children ages 24-36 months with an adult
A 40 minute early-literacy class of stories, fingerplays and simple crafts or games. For children ages 24-36 months with an adult caregiver; A drop-in event - no registration required.
Tuesdays @ 10:15 am from June 30 - August 4
- Mother Goose Time - now expanded for infants of any age, birth-24 months!
A 30 minute early literacy class of short stories, songs, fingerplays and surprises. A drop-in event - no registration required.
Thursdays @ 10:15 am from June 25 - August 4th (Please note our last summer meeting is on a Tuesday.)
- Summers only: Storytime in the Park for all ages.
Pack a picnic lunch and meet us at the Abbie Griffin Park bandstand for some stories in the sun. If it's rainy, just bring lunch to the library instead, as we'll meet in the Klumpp Meeting Room.
